If you have thick/curly/unruly hair, you are no stranger to dry damaged hair. It’s a fact of life.
I’ve been working with my hair stylist for THREE years to nurse my hair back to health. I’ve started to take it really seriously this past year and I’ve seen so much improvement. Of course, what works for me, might not work for you. But you might find something to improve your hairs state.
Drybar Buttercup Hairdryer: Yes, you’ll want to hate yourself for succumbing to the price tag – but its literally a game changer and QVC has a really great package deal for less than the dryer costs on its own! (and these clips are amazing)
Marc Anthony Repairing Macadamia Oil Deep Healing Conditioning Treatment: at $2.99 you’ll fully forgive yourself for splurging on the hair dryer. I stumbled across this at the check out line at Ulta and was totally skeptical but it is absolutely THE best deep conditioner I’ve tried. I get about 4 uses out of the packet.
Suave Professionals Moroccan Oil Color Care Shampoo + Conditioner: This is shockingly good for just over $3/bottle. The color care actually makes my color look so vibrant that it actually looks like I just got my hair colored.
Aveda Smooth Infusion Glossing Straightner: Apparently it progressively straightens your hair…not sure because its just as curly but SO much easier to straighten. Whatever these plant extracts does, it does it real goooood!
Of course you still need to find a hair stylist who is skilled to your hair and knows what you want. Regular trims are essential in getting your hair to grow, ironic as it is! If you are looking for someone in the greater Philadelphia area I recommend Elena at Adolf Biecker Center City!
